Postdoc position
We are seeking a postdoc to work on the analysis of genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) data generated from a diverse collection of more than 1000 apple cultivars. The 2-year position begins in May 2013 and may possibly be extended. The successful applicant will have extensive experience with computer programming and will preferably have experience with Java and at least one other programming language. No previous experience in agriculture is required. Experience handling next-generation DNA sequence data and software development will be considered an asset.
